Tree/Brush Removal Update

crest intro

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

STELLARTON, NOVA SCOTIA - It has been seven weeks since Hurricane Fiona devastated the county and reshaped the Town's landscaping. Over this time, our Public Works crew have been dedicated to removing dangerous trees, mass amounts of brush, and working to ensure that our streets and sidewalks remain safe for all.

At this stage in the clean-up process, our team will no longer be focused on removing trees or brush. Public Works are approximately six weeks behind on scheduled projects and are now needing to shift their focus to prepare for the winter. This is essential.

The province is assisting those still needing trees or brush cut and removed from their property. Residents can contact the Town Office at (902) 752-2114 with your civic address and contact information, and we will make the report to the province on your behalf.
